OLAR - Funeral services for Rita Eberhardt Fail, 84, of Olar, S.C., will be held at 1 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Kenneth Catoe officiating; burial will follow at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Olar, S.C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pruitt Home Health, Nurse Jorgie Scott and CNA Nikeria Brown for all of the love, care, concern, and attention that they have given to Mrs. Rita over the past few months.

Mrs. Rita passed away at home on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Born in Elberton, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Henry Clay Eberhardt and Annie Ruth Guest Eberhardt. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, attended the Adult Sunday School Class, and she also helped with various committees at the church through the years. She retired from Orangeburg Regional Medical Center where she worked as a Registered Nurse for a number of years. She loved gardening and enjoyed tending to her flowers all around her yard.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Bobby Louis Fail; daughter, Christine “Nana” Singletary of Barnwell, S.C.; sons, Toby (Wanda) Singletary of Elko, S.C., Marion Otis (Lisa) Singletary of Barnwell, S.C. and Ronnie Lewis Fail of Olar, S.C.; grandchildren, Michelle (Johnny) Williams, Dustin (Britt) Croft, Bryan (Rachel) Singletary, Dana (Jonathan) Gray, Ashley (Tyler) Boyleston, Jamie Milligan, Zach Milligan (Lillian “Lilly”); 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by a daughter, Joann Bennett; a sister, Wenona Knight; two great-grandchildren, Sydney Joyner and Bubba Joyner.
