Ryan Craig Myrick passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026.
Ryan was the son of Roger Grady Myrick and Donna Smyly Myrick. He graduated from Barnwell High School in 1992 and The Citadel in 1996. He went on to build a successful career in operations management, working for several major companies in the heavy equipment industry.
Ryan had a lifelong love of the outdoors, especially offshore fishing, hunting, and spending time at the family tree farm where he grew up. The farm was a special place to him, and he took great pride in helping care for the land and preserving a place filled with cherished family memories.
Ryan was one of a kind—quick-witted, funny, and stubborn, with a healthy dose of sarcasm and a knack for keeping everyone on their toes. He was never afraid to speak his mind, and you rarely had to wonder what he was thinking. Yet behind that sometimes-tough exterior was an incredibly big heart. He loved big, laughed often, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Those who knew him will remember his humor, his strong personality, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Ryan is survived by his three children, Parker James Myrick, Sanders Grace Myrick, and Thomas Craig Myrick; his wife, Susan Sanders Myrick; his parents, Roger Grady Myrick and Donna Smyly Myrick; and his sister, Rebecca Myrick Smith, and her husband, Henry Clark Brabham Smith.
The funeral services will be on Friday, October 23. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. at Great Saltkehatchie Baptist Church, followed by a 3 p.m. graveside service at Great Saltkehatchie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Great Saltkehatchie Baptist Church Cemetery.
