Letter: Tommy Rivers was a fine citizen, leader

Dear Editor,

One can only imagine the heartache of the citizens of Williston at the loss of Tommy Rivers, one of their finest fellow citizens and leaders.

I have known him since I was in Miss Jean’s kindergarten with his younger son. While I imagine anyone might have a bad day, I can honestly say that I can never recall a single time that he did not exude cheer and cordiality.

I can easily picture him in heaven joining Billie Jean Sprawls in prodding the Almighty to shower bountiful blessings on Williston, the town they loved.
